About Assam Lakhpati Didi Scheme
The Lakhpati Didi Scheme was launched by the Ministry of Rural Development under Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana in 2023. It aims to provide financial support so that females from rural areas can get empowerment by earning a decent amount of INR 1,00,000 by working in SHGs and getting skill training in various skills such as Agriculture, Handicrafts, Livestock rearing, and small-scale businesses. Until now, more than 7 Lakh females have benefited from this initiative, and now the main target of this initiative is to provide benefits to at least 3 crore females across the state. With the help of this scheme, the females can become self-independent, and this initiative also promotes women’s empowerment at the ground level.
