About AP Deepam 2.0 Scheme
The Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Chandrababu Naidu, has announced this Deepan 2.0 Scheme while having a visit in Edupuram in Srikakulam District on November 1, 2023. According to this scheme, the Government will empower females by providing them free of cost LPG Gas Cylinders. Under this scheme, the Government will provide three LPG Gas Cylinders Yearly to all the eligible females who come from financially weaker sections of the state.
As per the reports stated by the Authorities, the Government has allocated a total budget of 2,601 Crores for the implementation of this scheme. With the help of this scheme the females can get access to clean cooking methods along with that this initiative will reduce the financial issues while doing traditional cooking methods.
